6th Grade Language Arts:
Students presented their R and E’s

5th Grade Language Arts:
·         Same lesson as 6th grade

Homework:
·         Read nightly
·         Word of the Day packet is due on Monday, November 30th
·         Spelling is due on Friday, December 4th

Words their Way (Spelling) : 
·         Today we started are spelling program.  Students are grouped based on a spelling assessment given last month.  They worked with the teacher that was in charge of their sort.  They were assigned homework to complete nightly.  They will be tested on Friday.  We will have this class every Friday afternoon.

Social Studies:  Current events presented today and we continued with R and E’s.

·         Begin notice and note lesson for our reading.  Students worked on looking ofr Contrasts and Contradictions in a story.

5th Grade Language Arts:
·         Same lesson as 6th grade

Homework:
·         Read nightly
·         5th and 6th grade R and E due November 23rd.  Must be on the Google classroom using Google slides.
·         Work on Word of the Day.

·         Drafted narrative. The rough draft is due tomorrow. Make sure you highlight elements in your story.  Follow the checklist from class.
·         Work on narrative checklist on google
·         Be ready to revise with a partner tomorrow.

Language Arts:

6th Grade:  Began Word of the Day.  Students received today's word and wrote the definition and began the work page.  Worked on narrative.  Some students are starting revisions.

5th Grade: Began Word of the Day. Students will need to work on sentence writing and page completion nightly. Worked on narrative. Drat needs to be typed by Wednesday and revisions will need to start on Thursday.

Homework:  

  • Read nightly
  • Word of the Day.  

Social Studies:  Turned in processing homework.  Received study guide for lesson 4.

·         Historical fiction book club launch.  Students received a book club selection sheet.  These are due by Monday, November 9th.  They also worked on adding devices/techniques to their narrative writing.
