Language Arts:  We had reading workshop for 20 minutes and we began our new unit in writer’s workshop. We are starting essay writing. We walked about the school and wrote down the things we noticed.

We continued to read in our book clubs. TWO journal prompts are due on Wednesday, December 14^th. They must be in cursive, 3/ 4 in length for the response and NO SPELLING ERRORS.

Homework:

Social Studies: We continued to work on Lesson 6.

Homework: Mayflower assignment on TCI and Test on Friday

Language Arts:  Today we held our spelling bee to qualify for the BCS spelling bee. Congratulations to the finalists: 5th grade: Laya Kumar, Shane Guenther and Alternate Marshall Lockyer.  6^th Grade: Jessie Fisher, Josh Maribou and Alternate Sarah Chung.

Congratulations to my WONDERFUL HOMEROOM!  We raised the most money in the penny drive.  Awesome Job Boys and Girls!

We read a Time For Kids, took a quiz on our reading and have an assignment based on the magazine.
