Language Arts: Today we read completed an assessment on Criterion for the district.

Homework: 

• Read for 20 minutes.
• Read A Thon on Monday. Remember to bring a book to donate to children in Belize.

Word Study:   Spelling was assigned. Due next Monday

Social Studies: We began lesson 9 today and did a simulation based on Colonial Williamsburg. I have a feeling students will be coming home singing a song they learned today. We can’t get it out of our heads!!

Homework:  ISN pages 50-52 if you did not complete in class

Town Hall Meeting:  Today we had a town hall meeting held by Mr. Hartley and Mrs. Chinn. We discussed the 3 “E’s” and the students were given an assignment.  They need to write “Their Sentence.” Basically they are writing a sentence that demonstrates how they are a great leader!  This is due tomorrow.

Language Arts: 6^th grade went to the Media Center for a presentation on the Birbery challenge. The battle begins on Monday. No class for 5^th grade.

Language Arts: We continued to work on our essay writing. Today we took a topic and wrote it as a narrative. For homework we need to take that same topic and write it as a non-narrative. Please complete this in your writer’s notebook.

• Read for 20 minutes.
• In your Writer’s Notebook write a non-narrative using the same topic that you wrote your narrative on in class.
• R and E due February  1^5th. No food, word searches or crosswords this time. Remember you have to do something that you have not done before.
