Language Arts: 

6^th Grade: Students took their spelling test and turned in their packet. We completed a “sticky note” activity based on their reading. They turned in their narrative writing piece from Friday.   They also received a grammar packet that is due on Monday, October 28^th.  Tomorrow the students will begin their draft for their personal narrative. They will be receiving a rubric with the requirements.  

6^th grade R and E’s are due on October 30^th.

5^th Grade: Same lesson as 6^th grade

Homework:

• R and E due October 30^th (6^th grade only)
• Read nightly
• Grammar packet due on Monday

Social Studies:  No class today due to science MEAP

Homework:

Reminders:

• November conference signup is posted. Mr. Burdick and I have had to switch our conference nights. We are doing Tuesday, November 12 and Wednesday, November 13^th.

6^th Grade: We went to the Media Center . The students practiced “sacred writing” and were assigned a short narrative that is due on Monday.  Requirements are listed under homework.

6^th Grade:  Took part in a presentation from a sports writer from MLB.com.  The students what it is like to be a sports writer.  It was a great presentation.

6^th grade R and E’s are due on October 30^th.

Social Studies:  Reviewed was checked in today. Students finished a geography packet.

6^th Grade:  Students turned in their verb packets and we checked in class. They also received their spelling packets. I have added a 10 sentence writing portion to the packet.  They may write or type.
