Language Arts:
· 6th Grade: Continued to work on our China cause and effect essay. This is a five paragraph essay that is due on Friday. Majority of this essay will be completed in class. Many were handed in today.
· We continued to read Red Scarf Girl. The book needs to be completed by Monday. We will finish in class.
· Book List for the 40 book Challenge will be checked on Tuesday.
5th Grade: Same lesson as 6th grade.
Homework:
- Read for 20 minutes or more nightly.
- China essay if you do not have it completed.
- June R and E is due on Monday, June 10th
- Chapter 10 prompts for Red Scarf Girl
Social Studies: Worked on the seven characteristics of a civilization for Ancient Greece., Ancient Rome and Ancient China. The students wrote a five paragraph essay comparing and contrasting what makes these empires a civilization.
Homework: NO homework.

- Friday is Wacky recess. Bring a change of clothing just in case.
