Language Arts:

• 6^th Grade Presented R and E’s.  They did a great job!

• 5^th Grade:  Same lesson as 6^th grade.

Homework:

• Read for 20 minutes or more nightly.
• Book club books. Remember to do your nightly reading. The book needs to be finished by December 16^th. We are starting the final project on December 17^th.
• Narrative writing final piece due on Wednesday, December 12^th. Must be typed. Double spaced, rubric and rough draft must be attached as well!

Social Studies:  No class. We finished R and E’s

          Homework:  Page 55 in workbook.  It needs to be done in cursive.

             

Reminders:

·         We will be collecting donations for the family we are adopting as the Burns/Burdick team. Please see the email from our room moms and feel free us sign up genius for gifts or send in a monetary donation.  The kids are really excited for this and what a great way to show our great character!

• 6^th Grade: Rough drafts of narrative turned in and edited with a partner.  They will conference with me and receive feedback to help with their final.
• Meet quickly with Book Club Partner to break down reading for the next two weeks.

• 5^th Grade:  Same lesson as 6^th grade.

Homework:

• Read for 20 minutes or more nightly.
• R and E due on December 6^th. Must be on the wiki.  Remember the presentation must be 2-3 minutes in length.

Language Arts:

• 6^th Grade: Today Mrs. Martin came in and showed us how the use the programs. “Co Writer” and “Write out Loud.”  These are great tools to help students with their writing. Parents can check these programs out of the media center and load them onto their computer.
• We also meet with our “Book Club” partner and began reading.

• 5^th Grade:  Same lesson as 6^th grade.

Homework:

• Read for 20 minutes or more nightly. Remember to have a chapter book that you are going to commit to for the next week.

Social Studies:  We continued to work on Junior Scholastic.  The students also received their Unit 1 exam today.

• 6^th Grade: We read, did a quick write and shared our writing piece with Mrs. Fitz’s class.
• Bring Laptops tomorrow for in class writing.

• 5^th Grade:  We read.  The students were assigned to write a summary of their current chapter book.  This piece is to be written in their reader’s notebook and is due tomorrow.
