Language Arts:
  • 6th Grade:  Continued working on our book club project. Make sure you have a new book to read. Fictional stories were returned today.  If you receive a score lower then 70, you must revise for an improved grade. Those who scored higher then 70, may also revise for a better grade, but it is not required.  The revised papers are due on January 4th.

  • 5th Grade:  Same lesson as 6th grade. Personal narratives were returned.  If you received a score lower then 70, you must revise and resubmit for a better grade.   • Write an entry about a character’s action in your reader’s notebook. Your prompt is in your notebook.

Language Arts:
  • 6th Grade: Today Mrs. Martin came in and showed us how the use the programs. “Co Writer” and “Write out Loud.”  These are great tools to help students with their writing. Parents can check these programs out of the media center and load them onto their computer.
  • We also meet with our “Book Club” partner and began reading.

  • 5th Grade:  Same lesson as 6th grade.
Homework:

  • Read for 20 minutes or more nightly. Remember to have a chapter book that you are going to commit to for the next week.
  • R and E due on December 6th. Must be on the wiki.  Remember the presentation must be 2-3 minutes in length.
  • You need to find a partner and chapter book to begin “partner read” by Monday.
  • Writing piece typed rough draft due on Tuesday, December 4th

Social Studies:  We continued to work on Junior Scholastic.  The students also received their Unit 1 exam today.
