Social Studies:  Turned in Mandela and Hinduism video packet. Read Junior Scholastic.

Language Arts:
·         6th Grade:  We continued to work the short story, “Papa’s Parrot.”  Today, we did some revisions and will need a final copy tomorrow with the following requirements listed below.
·         5th  Grade: Same lesson as 6th grade.  Remember pronoun packet is due on Wednesday!
 
·         Homework:
  • Revise your Papa’s Parrot essay. It must be typed.  Tomorrow you need to turn in your boxes and bullets, rough draft and typed final of Papa’s Parrot.
  • Revising Papa's Parrot:
  • Locate and underline specific details such as proper names, exact quotes and precise actions.
  • Say things like: When the narrator states... this shows that..
When (the character) says.... this shows that...

  • Read for 20 minutes or more nightly.
  • April R and E due April 19th

Social Studies:  Completed further reading on the Ganges River. Received a worksheet on reading.  Assigned three activities today.   Processing in your ISN They are all due tomorrow.

·         6th Grade:  We worked on the short story, “Papa’s Parrot.”  They started to complete their boxes and bullets brainstorming and will need to complete the essay using their brainstorming.

·         5th  Grade: Same lesson as 6th grade.  Remember pronoun packet is due on Wednesday!
 
·         Homework:
  • Complete boxes and bullets on “Papa’s Parrot”
  • Write a five paragraph essay on “Papa’s Parrot.”  Remember you need an introductory paragraph, three supporting paragraphs and a concluding paragraph.  This should be typed.
  • Read for 20 minutes or more nightly.
  • April R and E due April 19th
  • Spelling due on Monday, April 15th

Social Studies:  Turned reading notes in for chapter 13.  Received Unit 3 test back.  Began working on processing assignment.

Homework: Processing worksheet is due on Monday.
