Language Arts:  We worked on several things in language arts today. 

We continued to work on our “small moment.”  This final piece will be completed in class with assistance from peers and the teacher.

We received our book for our book club and will be starting on Tuesday, December 6^th.

Language Arts: We continued to work on poetry.  We also began another small moment.  We will be choosing a small moment for a final writing piece that we will be working on in school.

Word Study:  NO class today.  We will be taking the week off from word study in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday.  They will receive a new spelling packet next Monday.

Grammar:  6^th grade grammar packet was turned in today.

                                

Social Studies: Students shared their essay on homework today in class.  They have tried to convince me that they need a break from homework over the holiday. It is working J

Language Arts: We continued to work on poetry.  We also completed a summary on the story Aaron’s Gift.  This lesson was to help us with our book club activities we will be starting after break.  

Homework: 

• MOODLE poetry assignment (Limerick). Watch presentation and complete quiz.  DUE ON MONDAY
• Summary for the story Aaron’s Gift, if not turned in it is due on Monday.
• Read for 20 minutes

Word Study:  NO class today

Grammar:  6^th grade grammar packet due on Monday, November 21^st

                                 

Social Studies: Read Time For Kids.  Began drafting a three paragraph essay on the topic of “Homework.”  The essay must have an introductory paragraph, a middle paragraph with details and support, and a concluding paragraph.  The essay may be typed or written in cursive.
