Language Arts:
  • 6th Grade: We continued to work on our writing piece.  We started to typing our draft. 
5th Grade:  We continued to work on our writing piece.

Homework:

  • Read for 20 minutes or more nightly. Remember to have a chapter book that you are going to commit to for the next week.
  • R and E due on December 6th. Must be on the wiki.  Remember the presentation must be 2-3 minutes in length.

Social Studies:  Read Junior Scholastic and completed activities based on reading.
Homework:
  • Received review for lessons 1, 4 and 5 for the Midterm we are having on Friday, November 30th.
  • The review will be due at the end of class on Tuesday.

·         Permission slips for Lansing
·         As of today, The Burns classroom has NO Chaperones for Lansing on Monday, November 26th.  Please email me if you can help!

  • Criterion writing assignment for 5th and 6th graders.  It is called “Lesson Learned”  it is due on Wednesday, November 14th
  • Grammar packet is due on Wednesday, November 14th
  • R and E due on December 6th. Must be on the wiki

Social Studies:  Finished lesson 5 and watched a video to get ready for our test on Friday. We worked on our review.  IT IS DUE TOMORROW!

We had our election today. The winner of the POPULAR vote in the BURNS homeroom is Romney/Ryan – Camillia and Sam. 

The winner of the POPULAR vote in the BURDICK homeroom is Obama/Biden- Ian and Blake. 

Congratulations to the students for all of their hard work. They were AMAZING today!

The only homework the students have this weekend is to read and prepare for the debate on Monday especially if you are a candidate. 

Remember the debate is on Monday at 1:00 in the Media Center. Students are to dress up and all family members welcome!!

Election Updates: 
We are in the final stretch. We will be having our final debate/town hall meeting on Monday, November 5th.  This will be held in the Media Center at 1:00.Parents please feel free to attend this debate.  We would love to see you there supporting our students.
