6^th Grade Language Arts: Worked on features of an argumentative essay.  Complete the “Boxes and Bullets” sheet for tomorrow. You may need to do some research at home.

5^th Grade Language Arts: Worked on features of an argumentative essay.   Same lesson as 6^th grade

Homework:

·         Read nightly

·         6^th Grade WOD packet due on Wednesday. Quiz on Friday

·         5^th grade adjective packet due on Monday, February 8^th, 2016

Word Study

·         Today we started are spelling program.  Students are grouped based on a spelling assessment given last month.  They worked with the teacher that was in charge of their sort.  They were assigned homework to complete nightly.  They will be tested on Friday.  We will have this class every Friday afternoon.

Social Studies: Mapping activity for the 13 colonies.

Homework:

·         Lesson 7 test will be next week.

·         Colony mapping test with capitals will be with the lesson 7 test.

Reminders:

·         Valentines party on February 12^th.  If you are bringing Valentines’ you must bring for everyone.  We have 55 students.
