Language Arts: 
6th Grade:  Continued reading. Completed a writing prompt based on the reading.  The prompt is the following:
Explain how you feel about Jack, Julian, and Charlotte after they showed August around the school. Use details from the text to support your opinion of each of these three students.
You must write out the prompt and complete the writing in your Reader’s Notebook.  The response should be about 3 paragraphs.


5th Grade:   Same lesson as 6th grade

Homework:
·         Remember to read nightly.
·         You must have a chapter book in school tomorrow!!
·         Wonder prompt due tomorrow


Social Studies:  We read Reading Further in the textbook.

Homework: Processing creating an advertisement for Sumer and reading further pages 29 and 30 in the ISN.  These are all due on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd.

Science Literacy:  Students were assigned roles for the mock election for Governor.  They began working in teams.

          Homework:  Remember to have our Governor packet in school every day!
·         Bring your devices to school to help with your campaign. 

Reminders:
·          The grade book will be closed for the first marking period on Thursday. No late work will be accepted after that day.
·         We will be holding our debates for Governor and Senator on Monday, November 3rd at 1:30 in the Media Center.
